Abstract:Motivation is a cause and maintaining individual activities and leading the activity to a certain inner power of a target or process. Motivation makes differences by means of the behavior of the students’ learning motivation for learning adjustment effect. Since twenty-century, a number of experts and scholars at home and abroad have done a great deal of studies on English learning motivation. Scholars abroad considered the motivation of second language as the most important point in their studies, while domestic scholars paid more attention to different types of objectives of the English learning motivation with less treating senior high school students as objectives than others. As a result, the senior high school student (the students in a certain class in grade three of senior high school are the special case in this dissertation) is the main research objective of this dissertation. The author will conduct a survey aiming at that class of students’ English learning motivation in order to learn about the current situation of that class of senior high school students. Then the author will show some methods to cultivate their English learning motivation according to the current situation.

摘要:动机,是引起与维持个体活动、并使该活动指向某一目标的内部动力或过程。动机通过学生对学习行为的调节从而对学习产生影响。自二十世纪以来,很多国内外的专家学者就英语学习动机做了大量的研究。国外学者基本以第二语言的学习动机为重点,而国内学者则注重研究以各种学生群体为研究对象的英语学习动机的现状,但针对高中生的类似研究却不多。因此本文以高中生为研究对象(本文以高中三年级某班学生作为特例研究对象)作为插入点展开论述。作者针对高中三年级这个班的学生的学习动机进行了调查研究,以便了解高中生的学习动机的现状,再针对现状提出相应的培养高中生学习动机的几个方法。
