ABSTRACT:BE (Business English) teaching is very important for students to learn business knowledge, and as the development of global economy, there are a number of approaches to the study of this topic. The purpose of this thesis is to make a research on BE situational teaching based on Needs Analysis. Needs analysis is a widely used tool to study the validity and relevancy of SLT (Situational Language Teaching Model). It guides students’ Business English skill learning through variously vivid and concrete scenes, which can meet the needs of students’ future practical workplace requirements. This research applies Hutchinson & Waters's theoretical framework of needs analysis to survey 40 students in Business English major and 11 employees who are working in different companies. In the process of investigation, the negotiation ability, dealing with complaints and promotion are the typical abilities that the students are needed. In this paper, three related business scenes will be applied to show SLT could help students improve in business skills and knowledge.

摘要:商务英语的教学是学习商务知识和技能的重要组成部分,随着全球经济的发展出现了一大批关于该课题的研究。因此,本文的目的就是在需求分析的基础上做一个关于商务英语情景教学的研究。需求分析目前广泛应用于关于情景教学准确性和关联性的研究。该理论通过各种生动形象的场景引导学生获得商务方面的知识和技能,从而满足学生对实际的工作需要方面的需求。本文应用Hutchinson & Waters 的需求分析理论为依据,对重庆科技学院40名商务英语专业学生和11个已经在职的该专业毕业生进行问卷调查和访谈。本文旨在发现通过情景教学的方法能够帮助商务英语专业的学生用更有效的方法获得商务英语方面的知识和技能。比如,小组讨论,口语陈述以及沟通技巧等等。
