Abstract:Reading is an important way for people to acquire knowledge and communicate information, and also an essential skill for them. Once students have reading dyslexia, it can bring great influence on their cognition, sensibility, self-conception and social development. However, as a sort of learning disabilities, developmental reading dyslexia happens in almost all kinds of language. In recent years, developmental reading dyslexia has aroused more and more researchers’ attention. The most acceptable viewpoint now is that reading dyslexia can be considered as a part of series of language disabilities, which is language processing deficiency.
This paper aims at analyzing the status and causes of reading dyslexia and the improving of the reading speed for the university students, when they are in good condition in Chinese reading and writing, while they suffer dyslexia in English reading. I have conducted a survey among the university students to see whether the role of non-knowledge dyslexia outweigh the role of the knowledge dyslexia. The result shows that the students feel the influence of non-knowledge dyslexia exceed the influence of knowledge dyslexia, then after the period of learning the strategies toward the dyslexia, the students make improvement in reading English speed.

中文摘要:近来,学生发展性阅读障碍问题引起越来越多的研究者和教育工作者的重视。随着社会信息化程度的日益提高、学生的发展,对阅读的要求越来越高,很多知识与能力的获得都是通过阅读实现的,阅读障碍严重阻碍了学生各方面能力的正常发展,因此,有必要研究阅读障碍产生的原因及如何克服英语阅读障碍,提高阅读速度。本文研究的是大学生在中文读写系统正常的情况下英文阅读产生困难的状况和原因,尝试剖析大学生对英语产生阅读障碍的主要原因,英语阅读障碍的种类及研究如何提高英语阅读速度的方法。
