Abstract:Jane Austen (1775-1817) was a famous English writer. Her second novel,Pride and Prejudice (1813) has engendered numerous adaptations because its story is setting uniquely in the 19th century and the book retains a fascination for modern readers, continuing near the top of lists of 'most loved books' and still receives considerable attention from literary critics. The fascination of the novel is to describe the lives of the ordinary people in our ordinary life vividly and dramatically by its simple and humorous language. Most works of literature work undergo significant cuts when adapted for film. No exception for the novel and its adaption, such as its adapted film of 2005. As the adapted films play very important roles in the dissemination of English literature works, they not only satisfy the audiences' intuitive visual requirements and more importantly affect the transmission of the charm and spirit of the literature works. Here, this thesis picks up Pride and Prejudice and its adapted film of 2005 as the object of study, tries to combine and the studies of Pride and Prejudice and its adapted film of 2005 and mainly analyses their difference no longer limitedly in literature, linguistic, psychology and other areas. Through the compared study of between Pride and Prejudice and its adapted film of 2005, the thesis would to find out the fascination of the novels and the deficiency of the adapted films.

摘要:简.奥斯丁(1775-1817)是著名的英国作家。她的第二部作品《傲慢与偏见》,因故事独特地设定在19世纪初而吸引了许多现代读者,它是读者最喜爱的书籍和文学评论家关注的重点。它的魅力在于以朴实、幽默的语言将日常平凡生活中的平凡人物描绘得有声有色。由于许多文学作品在被改编成电影时都进行了大幅度的修改,而改编电影不仅满足人们直观视觉要求,更是影响着原著的魅力与精神内涵的传播。本文以《傲慢与偏见》与2005版改编电影为例,尝试把两者的研究结合起来, 突破文学、语言学、心理学等范畴,重点分析两者的差异。通过原著与改编电影的对比研究发掘原著的魅力和指出改编电影的不足。
