ABSTRACT:With the development of globalization, the connection between different cultures has tightened increasingly. Because of the close relationship between language and culture, intercultural education has become an inevitably content in the area of English teaching. Based on the poor condition and the function of intercultural education for middle school, the author in this paper adopts instrument of class observation, questionnaire, interview and test paper analysis to make comparison between eight units in which two different teaching methods are adopted. The purpose is to let more people attach more attention for the development of intercultural education in the middle school. The aim is to give students more chances to immerse to western cultures and then stimulate their interests for English learning.

摘要:在全球化背景下,各种文化之间的交往日益频繁和紧密。语言与文化的密切关系使得英语国家的文化成为跨文化交际视角下英语教学中必不可少的教学内容。基于目前跨文化教育在欠发达地区中学的发展状况以及跨文化知识对初中英语学习的作用,本文通过课堂观察、对教师与学生进行采访、问卷以及成绩对比的方式,分析了传统教学方法与加入跨文化知识的教学方法的区别。目的在于加强大家对初中英语跨文化教育的认识,重视英语跨文化知识对初中英语教育的作用,进而提高初中英语教学水平。让学生尽可能多的接触西方文化,进而激发学生英语学习兴趣,提高英语学习成绩。
