ABSTRACT:This study investigated the 120 students’ situation of learner autonomy in NO. 5 middle school in Suijiang county from the following five dimensions: self-efficacy, intrinsic value, test anxiety, cognitive strategy use and self-regulation. And the SPSS version 11.5 was used to analyze the correlation between learner autonomy and students’ English final paper scores during the autumn 2011 semester. There are three findings in this study: First, students’ self-efficacy, intrinsic value and cognitive strategy use are positively related to their academic performances. Second, students’ test anxiety is negatively related to their academic performances. Third, there is an insignificant correlation between self-regulation and academic performances. Therefore, there are correlations between learner autonomy and academic performances. This study also discusses the pedagogical implications and suggestions of the findings.

摘要:本研究从自我效能、内在价值、考试焦虑、认知策略的使用以及自我调节五个方面调查了绥江县第五中学的120名学生的自主性学习的情况,并通过SPSS 11.5将学生的自主性学习与他们的2011年秋季学期的英语期末考试成绩进行了相关性分析。研究结果表明:1.学生的自我效能、内在价值和学习策略的使用与学习成绩呈正相关;2.学生的考试焦虑与学习成绩呈负相关;3.学生的自我调节与学习成绩不存在显著的相关性。因此,学生的自主性学习与成绩之间存在相关性。本研究还探讨了这些结论对英语教学的启示和建议。
