Abstract:The cultural features of proverbs are closely related to their sources. Proverbs reflect cultural differences. With the similar experiences and thinking patterns, some proverbs share cultural similarities. Because the differences and similarities, proverbs translation is a challenging task. It requires that a translator should have bilingual competence and multicultural knowledge. Furthermore, translators should pay attention to the principle of proverbs translation and master the methods of proverbs translation.
