Abstract
Nowadays, group work has always been used in teaching activities and it has a good teaching effect. Gradually, group work has also been used in English grammar classes.
There are three research questions in this thesis. First, why does group work help to teach English grammar in junior high school? Second, when the teacher designs group work activities for English grammar classes, what should they pay more attention to? Third, how can we design efficient group work activities in English grammar classes?
The thesis answers these questions from theory and practice. The paper surveys students’ attitude towards group work in English grammar classes by questionnaire. And the writer records the problems of group work in English grammar classes by class observation and gives some suggestions to improve it. And the aim of this thesis is to provide some suggestions for the junior high school English teacher while they design group work activities in English grammar classes.
