Abstract
In the new trend of curriculum reform, classroom assessment was attached much importance. Immediate classroom assessment, as the most direct and effective way, is the core element in classroom assessment. Student teacher who is prepared to take up the teaching job in primary school has the necessity to develop the capacity of immediate classroom assessment in order to cultivate primary student’s overall development.
In this thesis, two questions that need to be solved includes: (1) What are the preferences of student teacher in classroom assessment? (2) How does student teacher apply classroom assessment?
The whole thesis consists of seven parts. Part one is the brief introduction of research background, research purpose and research significance. Part two is literature review about classroom assessment and immediate classroom assessment home and abroad. Part three is the initial theories related to the classroom assessment which contains assessment, classroom assessment, immediate classroom assessment includes oral and body assessment in Primary English teaching concerning its definition, features. Part four is methodology contains research questions and design. Part five is finding and discussion with cases presented to illustrate problems in detail and figure out some reasonable causes. Part six is suggestions to student teachers. The last part is reflection about limitation and further expectation.
