Abstract
Due to the national and international environment nowadays, Japanese learning plays an important role. It becomes the first choice for English majors’ second foreign language. The questionnaires and interviews conducted at Jiangsu Second Normal University show that English majors’ learning Japanese is somewhat problematic, which includes poor motives, inappropriate learning habits, and some apparent learning difficulites. Actually, both subjective and objective elements contribute to this situation. Therefore, learning strategies are put forward in this dissertation to help students optimize their learning.
