Abstract
In order to achieve the goal of cultivating the middle school students’ comprehensive language competence which is stipulated in the English Curriculum Standard, and inspire them to learn actively and improve themselves, the research subject on cultivating middle school students’ interest in English class is an essential issue that teachers should pay attention to. Learning English is not only for passing exams but also for communicating in routine. In fact, our educational system still has few gaps which overly focus on theory but ignoring practice and students would lose their interest in English. It is a hot topic that we should learn how to inspire and cultivate students’ interest and improve the traditional education system in English learning. The article will begin with some traits of students' study habits and learning problems. And the article further puts forward autonomic learning and some other proper methods to direct students correctly and help students learn happily and make process in sustainable learning activities.
