Abstract
Teaching is a technique and an art as well, and it goes on the world without the end. How to improve primary school English teaching has become a major preoccupation for every teacher. Teachers have been engaging in the constant pursuit of a relaxing and lively teaching atmosphere for students, trying some new methods to expand the students’ horizons, to enrich their experiences, to uplift mind and spirit and to develop thinking ability, with the expectation of improving primary school English teaching. This paper is divided into three parts to discuss the strategies of improving the efficiency of English teaching from the Teachers’ perspective. The first part discusses how to improve teachers’ basic qualities from two aspects, broadening teachers’ knowledge about culture and mastering the basic teaching skills. The second part discusses how to improve teachers’ overall capability from three parts. Teachers should set up the ideas of working on educational and scientific research and training professional ethics, and learn to make good use of teaching strategy. The third part focuses on various teaching methods. It mainly discusses the three aspects of combining teaching with entertainment, linking the course to real life and utilizing text resources reasonably. Then, the paper will elaborate on how to improve the efficiency of primary school English teaching from the Teachers’ perspective.
