Abstract
With the rapid development of the study of today’s second language acquisition, motivation as one of the most significant and necessary factors influencing second language learners’ performance in their language acquisition has been exerted furious concern and studies. Under such circumstances, it is necessary and significant to conduct a careful and serious review of the influence of motivation on second language acquisition. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the definition of motivation, its classification, positive and negative influence, various factors and stimulations to stimulate and improve motivation in second language acquisition. Through a series of motivation studies, people can get a better understanding of the influence of motivation so that they can learn and practice the second language in an overall and comprehensive way.
