Abstract
Song Ci Poetry, as the most popular literary form in the Song Dynasty, has an important position in Chinese history and culture. As the leading figure of the school of grace, Li Qingzhao is distinguished for her uniqueness in style,elegance in diction and sincerity in feelings and has a glorious reputation at home and abroad. However, how to reproduce the features, meanings and beauty in the translation of Li’s poems is still a hot topic in today’s society.
Xu Yuanchong, as the leader of poetry translation, created the “Three Beauties” translation theory which shows the beauty of the poetry thoroughly. This paper studies the translation of Li Qingzhao’s Ci poems from the perspective of Xu Yuanchong’s “Three Beauties” translation theory. It analyzes and discusses Li Qingzhao’s Ci Poem from the “Three Beauties” in sound, in form and in sense, which reproduces the beauty of the poems successfully. “Three Beauties” provides the reference for Chinese classical poetry, guiding and evaluating Li Qingzhao’s Ci Poetry translation, which endows the readers with beautiful enjoyment.
