Abstract
Long and complicated sentences are a challenge for beginners of English translation in dire need of finding out an effective solution. In lots of English exams, articles with a large number of long and complicated sentences take up a considerable proportion. Students might run into technical problems and find it hard to understand. Therefore, it is indispensable to analyze long and complicated sentences. Better yet, rapid globalization enables a growing number of people to have much desire for understanding international issues and cultures. As a matter of fact, it is really a challenging task to piece together the foreign articles intended by the author. In summary, long and complicated sentences play an important role in acquiring English, especially advanced English. This paper is concerned about guiding English learners to get rid of inefficiency of massive repeated practice and take advantage of English translation. By trying to grasp the words and the corresponding function, utilizing the translation methods to analyze the sentence structure, learners can see double efforts in translation practice to better surmount the difficulties of long and complicated sentences.
