Abstract
When we talk about education most people think that it is the matter of school and teacher. Actually the real education contains three aspects, which is family influence, school education and social environment. Of all three aspects, family influence is the basic education, it is the earliest, most profound, most acceptable and longest education. family education can be defined as the foundation of all the education. with the deep cross-cultural communication, American-style family education has gradually entered the vision of Chinese people and has been imitated by the majority of Chinese parents, at the same time, with the contact between the two countries Chinese-style family education is also hot in the United States. This research adopted literature research, contrast and induction in order to answer the three following research questions: First, what is the definition, characteristic and importance of family education? Second, what are the similarities and differences between the two kinds of family educations? Third, what factors caused the differences of Sino-US family education. The research indicates that there are some similarities of Sino-US family education, without doubt, there also exists so many differences those are caused by the historical backgrounds, social conditions, ways of thinking, cultures and economic patterns.
