Abstract
Language and culture have very close relationship in the social environment. Culture is one of the most important attributes of language while language is one of the most important carriers of culture, resulting in mutual immersion. At this stage, the stage of enlightenment education is mainly primary school period, and primary school stage is divided into preschool education, low grade and high grade these three specific stages.This thesis highlights the importance of cultural immersion in primary-school English education by discussing the relationship between language and culture and meanwhile explores the contents and methods for cultural immersion in primary school English education so as to further improve the effect of primary-school English education by disseminating knowledge of the culture. Programmed to suit students’ age difference, the culture of English-speaking countries shall be introduced into primary-school English class to improve student learning and to deepen, in the mean time, their understanding of their native culture towards cultivating their language competence and cross-cultural awareness
