ABSTRACT
Edward Morgan Foster was a world-renowned British novelist in the 20th century. A Room with a View, his third masterpiece, was published in 1908. Based on the research abroad and at home, this thesis analyzes the psychological changes of the heroine in A Room with a View from the perspective of female growth. This thesis shows the process of changes from three phases—bewilderment, ambivalence and awakening, which aims to reflect the female growth in the novel and how women can achieve their self-growth and independence.
