Abstract: As a social tool, WeChat has become an important platform for mobile learning. Nowadays, many scholars have paid wide attention to mobile learning based on WeChat. This thesis aims to study autonomous learning of college English listening via WeChat. It first defines the related concepts and then analyzes the present situation of autonomous learning of college English listening. It can be found from related researches that there are some problems that may influence college students’ autonomous learning of English listening, such as blindness, low efficiency and poor autonomy and so on. After listing the characteristics and superiority of WeChat like simple operation interface and various forms of resources of listening, this thesis tries to put forward some strategies to improve autonomous listening of college students via WeChat. The strategies include rational screening of resources of listening, sharing materials of listening, interacting by WeChat group. Finally, a conclusion is made. Luckily, most students are very pleased to accept the way to learn English listening via WeChat and they have done some practices through WeChat platform, WeChat group and so on, so it is feasible to improve students’ level of English listening through WeChat.
