Abstract:The black have always been a striking social class in American society. In recent years, with the increasing social status of blacks, African American Vernacular English(AAVE) and black culture have also drawn increasing attention. AAVE, as a variant of English, has attracted a large number of researchers because of its unique language style. The writer, making Mark Twain's masterpiece, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn as the research object, takes the black English variant as the starting point, contrasts AAVE with American Standard English to make a more comprehensive and objective analysis of the phonological, spelling and syntactic features of AAVE in the novel
At the same time, the exploration of the origin of AAVE shows us that language and culture are inextricably linked. Therefore, from the perspective of AAVE, the analysis of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn can help readers better understand the theme of the black cultural inheritance of the novel, understand the existence of the black people under the oppression of the America mainstream culture, and then better understand the black history and the black culture.
