Abstract:As the Chinese economy and politics continues to be strong, English as a Foreign Language is increasingly valued by people. But given the uneven distribution of resources of education, some, rural students from remote and underdeveloped towns cannot have high-quality education resources. Fortunately, the development of modern technology makes the share of high-quality education resources possible. That’s why the remote web-cast courses are inevitable. This will become an important turning point of our education system.
The New English Curriculum Standards clearly states: “pay attention to interdisciplinary learning and the use of modern technology, so that students can broaden their horizons by interacting, penetrating and integrating in different content and methods, improve their learning efficiency, and gain practical ability needed in English in modern society”. But in the process of transiting from the old to new teaching mode, there have been some problems, which affected students’ learning efficiency and the sustainable development of Internet education. Therefore, it’s inevitably urgent to deeply analyze the problems exiting in the development of education and find out the ways to solve the problems, which have great significance to improve the quality of teaching and the quality of students. This essay firstly analyzes the current teaching situation of Renshou middle school and students’ general states. Next, it analyzes the current situation of distance webcast of Renshou Middle school which shares the resource of Chengdu No.7 High School. And then explore the advantages of remote live English teaching from the development of students and teachers as well as schools. Next, the essay analyzes the result of the questionnaire and interview done during the internship. At last, the essay will conclude some problems existing in remote live teaching and form some relevant methods to solve the problems according to some literature review and practice. The research shows that 70% of students still cannot accept such kind of teaching model and even feel nervous about it. 40% to 50% students of Grade two and three still feel heavy pressure. The specialty of this essay exists in the combination of personal experience and getting some data and feedback in time. The essay mainly uses questionnaire, interview and literature review.
