Abstract:Greg Mortenson is a writer of the United States. His Three Cups of Tea is a novel based on his experience in more than a decade. He uses a simple language to describe the childish and sincere children in war-torn areas, and the poor and simple Balti people, which shocks millions of readers with different skin colors. Three Cups of Tea is a representative work of his style expressing his humanitarian spirit. In 2007, Motonson won the 11th Kiriyama Pacific Rim Book Prize for the Pacific with the famous Japanese writer Haruki Murakami.
This article attempts to start from the efforts and contributions of the author for fulfill his promise in the process of building a school for Pakistan and Afghanistan including the author's growth in this process. Based on previous studies, we will analyze the humanitarianism of Three Cups of Tea from the perspective of humanistic care, education equality, and religious equality etc. This will not only help the reader to understand Three Cups of Tea more deep, but also spread the author's humanitarian spirit and attract more attention to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
